Start production batches by recording the product, production date, expected yield, and ingredients used. Batchwork deducts the ingredient stock and assigns a unique batch code. Record the actual yield later to recalculate cost per unit and identify the difference between expected and actual output.
Use expiry-aware ingredient selection.
Batchwork uses First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) selection when choosing ingredient lots. When stock is spread across multiple lots, the system can split the quantity across available lots, starting with the soonest-expiring stock. Users can also select a specific lot when there is a reason to do so.

Search for a batch code or ingredient lot code to see the connected production and shipment records. Trace a finished batch back to its ingredient lots and suppliers, or start with an ingredient lot to see which batches used it and which customers received those batches.
